About the Author
Louis L'Amour was an American author of Western novels. He was born in Jamestown, North Dakota, in 1908. L'Amour began writing at a young age, and he published his first novel, Westward the Tide, in 1951. He went on to write more than 100 novels, many of which were set in the American West.
L'Amour's novels are known for their action, adventure, and romance. He often wrote about the lives of cowboys, settlers, and outlaws. His books have been translated into more than 20 languages, and they have sold more than 300 million copies worldwide.
L'Amour died in Los Angeles, California, in 1988. He is considered one of the most popular and successful Western writers of all time.
